Tatami Everydayは、

神戸で四代続く畳店の

「畳の良さを世界に発信したい」という

思いから生まれました。

古くから愛され、私たちの生活と

文化の中心を担ってきた畳。

その香りや、時と共に変化する風合いは、

他の素材では味わえない

特別な魅力があると感じています。

時代が移り、人々のライフスタイルが

変化した今、私たちは昔ほど

畳に触れることはなくなりました。

そんな今だからこそ、もっと自由に、

新しい形で畳を楽しむことができると

私たちは信じています。

現代の生活に馴染む、

シンプルで使いやすい商品を通して

一人でも多くの人に畳の魅力を

味わっていただければ幸いです。

The project of "Tatami Everyday" started in a small factory in Kobe,

that has been making Tatami mats for over four generations.

Tatami is a beautiful floor material that has been playing

a central part of Japanese culture for long time.

Genuine Tatami is made with natural grass, that has an excellent relaxing aroma.

And as time goes by, its color changes from green to light golden brown.

But now our lifestyle is changing.

There are more western style rooms than the ones are covered with Tatami.

So, we decided to launch this brand, and started to create simple products

made with genuine Tatami materials that fit in the modern life-styles.
